Acrylic. 21 x 29 cm. I did this en plein air, that’s to say, sitting in a folding chair and with a portable easel on my knees. I am drawn to this kind of subject – huts, cabins, farm buildings – for some reason. It was hardly surprising that with a choice of floral garden subjects (accessed via a path to the right-hand side of the cabin) instead I went for the wooden building surrounded by trees. I like painting trees and am getting better at it, I hope.
